Basically it is a free service where you can schedule a call to be made to your cell phone to either: get you out of a bad date, call you at the perfect time when you want to impress someone, or if you just need a little affirmation.

What the heck...I tried it. Scheduled a call for myself yesterday at 4pm.....chose for it to be a "affirmation call." Well when 4:03pm rolled around, my phone started ringing, a 718 area code number....of course because I didn't know the number I sent it to voicemail.....and damn it....I missed my affirmation call. So it really does work...try it. But remember if a 718 number calls you don't ignore it....you will miss some recorded voice telling you that you are amazing.

Popularity Dialer

Fruit Man-handling.......

Here I go once again.....spending time I don't have, setting up a "blogger profile", and telling myself that I will commit to keeping a blog. I have never been one to journal and am still not one to be big on committing but damn it...I am going to commit and journal at the same time. So welcome....not sure how often I will post, not sure how exciting each post will be, and not sure if you even care.....but I would appreciate it if you would act like you do.

Now that I finally have my little blog title and url (it only took my two hours to commit to calling it something.....I mean the whole idea of "what is in a name...?" my answer....a lot when you are talking about throwing thoughts weekly up on a website for the entire world to read, well maybe not the entire world...) I am not really sure what has happened recently that is "first blog entry" worthy.

Things to get used to if you are going to be a semi permanent fixture on my jeggae walls.....
1. the over use of ..................
2. writing in the format of how I talk, meaning throwing correct grammatical junk to the wind
3. rambling on about big things in my life that might seem little to you
4. inconsistency in posting :)
5. horrible spelling

Well now that we got that out on the table.....drumroll, first blogging entry begins right now......

I am a huge fan of the Nashville Farmer's market and usually make a weekly solo trip to pick out tomatos, apples, and thump all the cantelopes. The people at the Farmer's market are amazing and so friendly, they allow you to man-handle their goods without even flinching. Fresh fruit/veggies go bad quickly so I feel like we should have the right to take our time and man-handle to make sure we are going home with what we want. I have never been scoulded at the Farmer's Market for my selection methods.

A couple weeks ago I didn't make it to the Farmer's market so I drove the little wagon down to the neighborhood Kroger, parked in the newly painted spots, grabbed my list and got ready to pick, smell, and thump if needed. On my list was....strawberries......awesome, love them and walked right to them. I pick up one carton...half of them were almost rotten, pick up another carton....again a few of the big ones were turning mushy, pick up one more carton...same story. So what's a girl in need of strawberries to do....thats right....I opened up two cartons and took the good berries out of each and made my own little carton full of nice, red, still firm strawberries. Little did I know that one of the official fruit handlers employed by kroger was watching me....he proceeded to stroll up and read me the right act about germs, touching all the fruit, and opening cartons I didn't intend to buy. Following the little lesson he gave me....we both look up to see a little four year old kid picking his nose then running his hands through the heads of boston lettuce trying to splash the water off the leaves....it was perfect because....I grabbed my jess made carton, looked at the fruit handler, winked and said ..."you might want to re-spray that lettuce...have a nice day!"

Moral of the story.......don't go to kroger to handle fruit freely.......go to your local farmer's market and thump away.
