The Popularity Dialer.......

So part of my job is searching the internet for new marketing ideas, new versions of the almighty myspace, websites that can help promote our bands, etc, etc. This one below takes the cake for the week......The Popularity Dialer. Basically it is a free service where you can schedule a call to be made to your cell phone to either: get you out of a bad date, call you at the perfect time when you want to impress someone, or if you just need a little affirmation.

What the heck...I tried it. Scheduled a call for myself yesterday at 4pm.....chose for it to be a "affirmation call." Well when 4:03pm rolled around, my phone started ringing, a 718 area code number....of course because I didn't know the number I sent it to voicemail.....and damn it....I missed my affirmation call. So it really does work...try it. But remember if a 718 number calls you don't ignore it....you will miss some recorded voice telling you that you are amazing.
